Maintenance tips for late-summer plant and vegetable gardens

A recent article titled, “Late summer gardening tips,” notes that “…heat is no excuse for ugly flower beds,” and offers suggestions for gardeners to work in the cooler hours of the day, drink lots of fluids and take frequent breaks.

In tackling the flower beds the article states, “…nurseries are full of exciting colorful plants…” and “It is still worth the investment to purchase and plant summer flowers...”

Be sure to visit Reynolds' weekly sales page to see what they are featuring in the Garden Center which will take you through the rest of the summer, and well into the fall.

When it comes to your vegetable gardens, the article furthers, “…the same warm-season crops you planted in spring can be planted again for fall production, as well as some of the hardy cool-season crops.”
