"Paint The Town Pink" reaches 34 New Jersey CommunitiesPosted: 5/14/2014 10:09:02 AM
"It began with a simple idea: Turn Red Bank [NJ] into Pink Bank to increase mammography rates in our community. Today, the Pink hue extends to 34 towns."
"Paint The Town Pink,” by Meridian Health, is an annual breast cancer prevention, detection, and treatment campaign which takes place in May and raises funds to provide free mammography screening through the "Pink Fund" for uninsured and underserved women in the community.
“According to an American Cancer Society study from 2007, only 60.2% of women in New Jersey, aged 40 and older, were getting their annual mammogram. And, even more alarming, the statistic dropped to only 35.7% among the uninsured population.”
Reynolds (in “Pinkahawkin”) is proud to be participating in this important cause by offering pink items at special pricing throughout the month of May:
In the Floral Market - Mixed Pink Bouquet for only $15 (reg. $20)
In the Garden Center - 20% OFF All Pink Annuals, Perennials and House Plants
