In an article published by business2community.com, flowers are high on the gift-giving list (86%) of the 5,000 survey takers in their annual Brand Keys Mother’s Day survey which noted that “‘tradition’ is the watchword,” and total spending is expected to be up 7.5% in 2014.
The survey also revealed that gift buyers are shopping at specialty stores 10% more this year (up to 50%), and some additional categories which have increased as gifts perfect for all of the “Moms” in your life, are clothing up 14% to 64%, and jewelry up 7% to 45%.
The article furthers that the average spend “…for men, who always spend a little more, $184, and for women, a little less, $153.”
